Helping professionals have tremendously compassionate hearts. Our work requires a unique level of emotional, cognitive and physical presence that can, sometimes, leave us feeling as if we are running on fumes. In addition to caring for clients we are often juggling additional roles such as spouse, parent and friend. We are so used to reaching toward and showing up for others that it can be difficult to know where to turn when we are in need of support.
You may find that when you are ready to reach out for help you already know all of the trusted providers in your area. It can genuinely be a challenge for us to connect with someone when we are in need without fear of a conflict of interest or professional overlap. I hold counseling licenses in Tennessee and Florida and enjoy being a trusted resource for therapists in both states. I offer in-person sessions as well as virtual sessions through a HIPAA-compliant video platform.
